Publicity and Promotion

To let the public know more about the arrangements for our power suspension measures and channels for receiving relevant information during typhoon, in addition to holding press conference and sharing information with the public through local media, we also reached the community to conduct a series of promotions in 2019, including setting up “Consultation Stations for Power Supply during Typhoon” at flood-affected areas in Macau and Coloane that allowed citizens to consult in person and get assistance in binding CEM WeChat account, as well as holding seminars with 10 civil society and professional organizations, which let citizens know more about how to get prepared for typhoon and allowed volunteers and professionals to provide assistance.

We also worked with MOME to produce a special typhoon series with four episodes, which are “Power Supply”, Power Suspension, Power Restoration and Power Operation Optimization (videos are in Chinese only). They were broadcasted through 293 buses, 300 taxis, 18 Royal Supermarkets, CEM Customer Service Centres, Facebook fan page and website.
